Comments
Comments: A little winter wonderland in this area right now, 4-6 inches of wet melting snow, slick in spots. We hiked to the back of Willard Pond first on Tudor trail, then on the way back grabbed Bald Mountain Tr up to the ledges and Bald Mountain, and back down Tamposi Tr for a loop to the parking lot. Two of us wore light traction, one bare booted, we all did ok. Snowshoes would be overkill with snow depth and anticipated 60 degree days coming up.

Lots of huge and varied glacial erratics everywhere, lichens, mosses, club mosses, lake views Trailside and from ledges, bobcat, coyote and turkey tracks, and a vernal pool.

Ice is out on the lake, the white buoy in the middle of the lake holds a sensor array for long-term water quality monitoring, looking at temperature and oxygen trends over time, recording hourly, part of a regional monitoring effort.

Neat little area tucked in the bouldery hills of Antrim.
