Comments
Comments: Someone bushwhacked a straight line through the woods for the first mile instead of following the winding trail. Not sure I'd recommend it after yesterday as it was starting to soften significantly on the way down. The upper portion of the trail is in pretty good shape, though there is a good amount of water. Plenty of rocks to hop on though. The two bushwhacks were cut by an angel! Engine Hill goes right into the Express without using the actual trail at all. The river was easily hopped there. Bare boots to the summit and spikes on the way down. Snowshoes would not have been remiss for the softening snow in the deciduous section, but not sure they would've helped all that much. Spring is coming. Get it while the getting's good.
