Fun discovery on the trail of an adorable stuffed pika sitting on a rock, whose person left a pleading note on a noticeboard at the trailhead. The pika is now enroute to New Jersey via the US Mail for a happy reunion. |

Great day on the trail. Bare ground with some mud on lower sections, then transition to snow with firm traction all the way to Starr King and Waumbek. Microspikes helpful. Some sticking on the way up, not on the way down. |
