The large blowdown from last season remains about 0.3 mi. up the trail. It's on the chainsaw to-do list. I removed one small blowdown along the ridge. Cutting this unfortunately broke the blade on the silky saw I was using but I was still able to clear the tree. There's a leaner just past the summit that I trimmed with my small backup saw. It's not going anywhere but I will come back to clear it. I also raked out one drainage. |

A dry start to the work trip but it rained on the way down so I skipped the other drainage I was going to clean, the long one in the switchbacks. I'll get that another day.
Crossed paths with Mark, who was out enjoying the ridge walk and is an expert in bird calls! |
