 | Comments: |
Carriage Road is snow-free and drying out.
Warden's Trail (Green Trail) was initially mostly dry, but the upper half has a lot of blue ice. If you're going to try to avoid it by walking on the moss next to the trail, please don't hike the trail for the time being, because this causes permanent damage. The trail needs a good week or so of warmer weather to thaw.
Blue Trail had some snow/ice on the BRT portion, but can be barebooted with care. The purpose of my loop was to address the clogged waterbars and this has been done (full spring cleanings are still needed; a few I couldn't make much progress on due to frozen ground, and other long ones will need to be fully raked), so the trail should dry out faster now (as compared to a day earlier when water was backing up in a bunch of places). I also brushed in the revegetation area that someone had cleared out and diverted traffic down, so hopefully folks avoid that moving forward.
Cloudy afternoon with light snow flurries and temperatures in the 30s. |
