 | Comments: |
Microspikes went on almost from the start. There was a light dusting of new overnight snow down low, increasing to perhaps an inch and a half higher up, approaching the shelter area. Temps started out mild enough, got cooler, breezier higher up, notably just before the shelters. Outstanding views up to the ridges surrounding the bowl (Boott Spur, Lions Head). Really need traction for this, although there were some groups of younger folks going up the fire trail in sneakers. |
