Comments
Comments: Small patches of snow easily avoided by rocks/roots heading up Welch. There is snow/ice from the Welch summit heading down into the col. The ice has some traction but recommend you bring the micro spikes in case. This section is still about 2 feet of packed monorail that is going to turn to slushy snow with the warm temps this weekend. Some ice/snow patches heading up Dickey and then on the trail descending until you get to the ledge. Most are avoidable with rock and root hopping but spikes will let you plow through. Again, this will continue to loosen up with warm temps. Trail is dry from Dickey ledge back to trailhead.
