Comments
Comments: Beautiful day to grid out Garfield! Trail is in great shape by spring standards. Dry road/trail for the first 3.5 miles/until 2600’. I stuck with bare “boots” (trail runners) until about a half mile from the summit then put on spikes. Steeps near the top were not icy at all-just sticky packed spring snow. Wore spikes about 1.75 miles down. Trail is well packed and very stable even in today’s warm temps.
