 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
I am the trail adopter. My pup Echo and I spent most of the day working on the loop: drainages, blowdowns and brushing. Please do not make campfires on the fragile moss, under dead trees. Please. If Hedghog ends up as a forest fire I will be absolutely crushed. I removed what was left of the fire (and someone’s food - gross) and blocked off that area. There is still one large scramble-over blowdown just below the East Ledges. Today I cut a step into it, with handholds. It is on the list for removal via axe or chainsaw! |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
My pup, about a half dozen squirrels, and one bunny got a lot of cardio today. |

 | Comments: |
I hiked counterclockwise based on my trailwork plans. I only saw a few people, as the actual conditions were pretty close to the lousy forecast. There is no longer enough snow to need snowshoes on this hike. I had my rock spikes on and off multiple times; maybe 15% of the trail has ice, but that 15% is really slippery. |
