Comments
Comments: What a day! 1 mile in I put on my k-10’s but I think micro spikes would have gone in with some kicking and nooo to yaktrax. I wore them until the hut where I swapped for my rock spikes. Only annoying park was coming out of the last waterfall crossing. The wall is about 3 feet tall which was lovely. Only rotting monorail on ammo is right in the beginning. Had a snack in the dungeon then went up to monroe with rock spikes, and headed to george. I wore spikes probably for another 20 minutes until I barebooted for the rest of the day. On the small ice sections there was plenty of rocks to stand on. Winds were 40-50 when you were not sheltered and sweating. Coming down the cog was a sloppy mess and then I pulled the trigger and when for jefferson. Talk about small amount of the most annoying snow. The few snowfields were solid but the few random snow was rotting… on the way back the wind picked up again and I opted for the cog. Top part is bare and there is on and off snow until the little cabin just past jacobs ladder. Snow was a skiing slippery mess on the corn snow and the dirt was mud and messy. Once past that little shack it was a cake walk out without tripping on your feet. Saw only the lady with the dog and my friend on the summit. Stellar day out for April!
