Comments
Comments: Blue skies and warm today with great views. The trail was mostly dry for the first 2 1/2 miles and up until things started going up. I put spikes on at that point after which was stable monorail and hardpack except for some bare stretches. The snow softened some on the descent as things heated up. A couple of postholes gobbled me up at the bottom of North where I stepped off the trail and there was some sliding as slushiness started to set in on spots. Also a couple of poke thoughs and collapses on the trail proper. Some beginnings of deterioration.
