Beautiful Slog. First 30 minutes or so are snow free. Snow 5 mins after ladder, thereafter until alpine zone. Lots of snow in woods, up to 5 or 6 ft. in places. Post holing the major safety concern on trail. What may have been firm in AM softened significantly in PM. Icy areas are easily avoided or rock hop presently, but as snow melts consolidated snow that has formed ice will be more problematic. Trail may be difficult to follow at times, especially approaching alpine. Snow is either too deep to see blazes or trees not wide enough for blazing. Blazes absent in lower snow areas where it would have been helpful. Snow covered with tree debris so often difficult to discern trail. Even prints are camouflaged. As more people hike trail, false paths may be created trying to find true trail. Spruce traps approaching alpine searching for trail. Couple of snow patches in alpine but short duration.
