Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The large blowdown at the Round Pond trailhead has been chainsaw'd. I removed four blowdowns and cleaned two drainages. Lots of trail creep in the steep switchback section, but nothing like the other end of the trail. I also brushed in some confusing herd paths near the summit in an effort to keep folks on the marked trail.

Bugs
Bugs: Oh yes. Lots. All of them, maybe? It was definitely a head net day. The black flies were swarming and biting.

Comments
Comments: A spring patrol of South Ridge Trail from Round Pond to the South Mtn. summit, plus the unofficial red-blazed alternate path at the top.

Not much mud or water at all today but that will change with the incoming rain. Minus the bugs it was a lovely day on the mountain.
