Great hike as always. Trails in decent shape, save a decent number of blowdowns, which I expect this time of year. Monorail became unavoidable on Blueberry Ledge at ~3200'. Spikes were helpful from there up, though there's enough exposed rock to require taking the on and off a few times. Rollins has a very thin monorail, I (6') post-holed well past my knees a number of times [snowshoes would be helpful]. Spikes were helpful on Dicey's Mill until about 2900' on the descent.
It was a classic shorts and spikes April hike. Great to get out there again. |
