Comments
Comments: Bare ground only lasted to the intersection of Lonesome Lake and Hi-Cannon Trails, beyond that wet snow became somewhat slippery so we put on our spikes. The snow that fell last night melted with the warm temps and soaked us completely. Changed tops just down from the summit and wore our shells from about halfway up to about halfway down. Encountered a small amount of slush and the snow was wet and heavy but miraculously our feet remained dry with our "waterproof" winter boots. Spikes were all we needed for additional footwear. Lots of large ice chunks blowing and falling from the summit tower so we didn't linger. Despite the soggy spring conditions, it was a beautiful day to be out!!
