After hiking Cardigan, I made the roundabout drive over to Hebron. I wanted to check out the new relocations along Elwell Trail on the Bear Mtn. ridge. There are several but they are all short and eliminate some steep pitches. There's also a new signed spur path near the Bear Mtn. summit that leads a short distance to a ledge with a nice view of Cardigan.
Ground conditions were mostly dry with some minor mud here and there. The snowmobile crossing near the trailhead was very muddy today. |
