Comments
Comments: There were a lot of wet surfaces after the early morning rain. One had to exercise caution on the wet roots and ledges so as not to slip. No snow or ice. The exposed ledges were dry. There is only one somewhat difficult ledge just below the summit. No significant mud or running water on the trail.
Good views from the east ledges, ledges near the summit, and Allen's Ledge (sign).
Saw a flowering hobblebush just downhill of the loop junction.
Lots of hikers out today including a couple from Madison, WI, a woman originally from MI now in ME and many New Englanders (MA, NH, & ME).
