Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Webster-Jackson Trail from route 302 to Mt Jackson has no tree fall obstructions. Someone cut up the downed trees. The Webster Branch of the Webster-Jackson has many tree falls including a large evergreen down on 60-80 feet of trail. The Webster Cliff Trail has lots of tree falls across or into the trail. Some of the bog bridges are broken or starting to wear out. Most are still okay.

Comments
Comments: Most surfaces were wet from recent rains. Water running on the trail in places. The exposed ledges near the summit of Mt Jackson were mostly dry. There are sufficient footholds and handholds in the steeper rocky areas near the summit of Mt Jackson to help facilitate safe passage.
Small patches of snow at the higher elevations. The snow was generally firm enough to walk on. No traction needed.
Good views this morning from both summits.
Met hikers from NH, VT, and NC. Most hikers were hiking out and back to Mt Jackson.
I was fortunate enough to get back to the vehicle with just spotty showers. The rain picked up and when I was driving home it was a downpour.
Heard thunder on the descent from the fork in the Webster-Jackson Trail to the trailhead but nothing directly overhead.
Silver Cascade Brook on the Webster Branch has a nice cascade and pool. Big rocks made the crossing easy.
