Everything was saturated after last night's heavy downpours, so I opted for the gravel access road to get to the ridge. The access road was damp, but not particularly muddy. Still some piles of snow (Lower Bobby's has enough snow for a few connected turns), but nothing on the access road proper until High Country (one pile will likely make it to calendar summer).
Sosman Trail had a number of large blowdowns, but I was able to get them all with the big saw. Summit loop of Mt. Tecumseh Trail also had a number of blowdowns that are now gone. No snow encountered, even on the turn that typically holds it last.
Cloudy morning with fog above 3,000 feet and temperatures in the 50s/60s. Forecast heavy thunderstorms have yet to hit as of lunchtime. |
