Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: River crossing was a bit trickier than in years past- some big rocks have shifted and my usual route across is no longer viable. A few hundred feet upstream of the blazed crossing, there are some rocks that were a couple inches underwater, made for an easy enough crossing if you don't mind your toes getting wet
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This trip was for trail maintenance. Cleared all blowdowns except for two easy stepovers (both before the river crossing). A few eroded areas need some drainage work and steps, but that's a project for another day!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: A few buzzing around down low, but nothing too exciting
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a depressing amount of trash scattered along the length of the trail. Also found a pair of socks right by the new wooden stairs- left them at the trailhead kiosk.

Comments
Comments: Forecast for the day wasn't promising, but we figured we'd give it a go anyhow. Absolutely lucked out until we were halfway down, then the thunderstorms rolled in just in time for us to cross the river! Wet slog out after a long day. Lost count of how many blowdowns and leaners we cleared... Still some brushing work to be done up high, but nothing too crazy when it's not weighed down by the snow.
