One blowdown on Mt. Klem side of the loop between the pond and the viewpoint. |

Mosquitoes were brutal on Old Stage Road. Black flies were brutal on Mack Ridge, but more bearable higher up. |

 | Comments: |
Loop was damp in places from yesterday's rain, as well as a few light showers later this morning. A few areas of standing water (e.g. on the road just before Mack). Mud generally not too bad.
Variety of wildflowers in bloom - columbine, lady slipper, trillium, and others.
Only saw two other sets of hikers during the whole loop.
Partly sunny morning with temperatures in the 50s/60s. |
