 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Had to step on some ~1" submerged rocks on some of the crossings on Liberty Springs Trail, but nothing challenging. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
OBP in great shape w/regards to blowdowns. The amount of stonework that has been done on that trail is impressive. Still many blowdowns between Lil Haystack and Liberty Springs junction, some requiring a slight detour, but nothing crazy. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |
None today. |
|
 | Bugs: |
None, (I don't think they like rain) but you should expect them going forward. |

Overcast up to the hut...passed I think every Boy Scout in NH on the way down after their hut night. Caretaker said some of the early risers got sent down to the pond to look for fish (there were none). Socked in from the hut until headed down Liberty Springs Trail. Still some easily navigated without traction snow patches between Haystack/Liberty Springs. Rained pretty hard off and on for 2nd half of hike, and also as I was driving S, so expect wet trail conditions. Even with the amount of rain we got, crossings not an issue. A decent number of people up on the Ridge today despite the conditions. Hut is open (Self-Service) but had some baked goods and water available. |
