All major water crossings were rock hopped |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in really great shape, only one blowdown of note near the Cabot summit which was easily stepped over/walked around. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
My dog loves Cabot, especially all the water (and the HUGE water area near the TH on York Pond Trail - great to clean off all the mud). We saw a few other friendly pups who all seemed to be enjoying themselves. |
|
 | Bugs: |
It’s officially “I accidentally inhaled a bug” season. Absolutely horrendous in the parking lot, I think I took some home. Not bad on trail if you were moving. |

 | Comments: |
Trail was in great shape, some mud and wet feet (which is typical for Cabot). Some sections of trail were possible to rock hop, but I gave up trying that. Lots of deceiving mud that was much deeper than it looked!! Hoped to beat out the thunderstorm that was in the forecast. The only rain we felt were a few drops on our ascent, and the skies cleared up on our descent. Quite a few people out on the trails, and one AMC group. |
