Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Snowmobile bridges over most, tiny step-overs for the rest.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The 7th or 8th snowmobile bridge from the road has a broken board. Very few blowdowns, looks like folks have been at work recently (fresh sawdust), There is a large birch in the higher elevations that is a work in progress. Thanks!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Looks like fun, but if it's a rainy, mucky day, cover your vehicle seats for the ride home!
Bugs
Bugs: Rain, sleet, snow, temps in low 40s have advantages. NONE!
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Our body heat!

Comments
Comments: I know there's no "supposed to" when it comes to White Mountain weather, but I thought it was just going to be cloudy and cold. We needed this side of Cherry Mountain for tracing, so if there were no views, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

I love "back door" trails; Tecumseh from Tripoli Road, Eastman Mountain from Slippery Brook Road. Add this to the list! It's a snowmobile trail, pleasant grade and plenty of bridged streams. Except for the .2 mile ascent to the summit, it's never really steep. In fact, a good portion of the beginning and end are relatively flat. Beautiful woodland walk, a great variety of spring flowers - Trillium (Red and Painted), Trout Lily, violets, mostly white. But remember, your feet are going to get wet. Streams on the trail itself, plenty of mucky sections. A cold rainy day was probably not the wisest of choices. And it wasn't just rain. There was sleet near the top on the way up, snow on the way down. And a Grouse on the way down, too!
