Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
First one on Stony Brook (about 1.1 miles in) was a bit tricky. The rest were not bad. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Many blowdowns on the ridge from Moriah to South Carter. Worst right near Moriah and a little south of Imp Shelter. Also many boardwalks in that area seem to have been pushed around by running water. Cleared a bunch of blowdowns, but there are many more, up to 10 inch diameter. Stony Brook and 19 Mile Brook trails in good shape. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Someone left dog crap on the Stony Brook trail at about the 1 mile mark. No excuse for this behavior. |
 | Bugs: |
None - the high temp was about 45 |
 | Lost and Found: |
Lost a black nylon bicycle toe strap on Carter Moriah trail between Stony Brook and Moriah summit. Found a no-name spike (single) hanging from a tree near Moriah summit. Left it in place. Should have brought it to the trailhead. |

 | Comments: |
Long day, but nice to be out with no snow AND no bugs. A rare combo in the spring. 19 Mile Brook trail is now part of the AT due to a detour by the Osgood cutoff in/near Great Gulf. |
