 | Comments: |
A bit of everything on the trail. Light drizzle turned to sleet and snow with elevation. Significant snow line around 3500'. Mostly slushy and soft. Trail between Starr King and Waumbek was a mess of slush, mud, snow, and standing water. Never put on spikes as it was too soft and would have gotten clogged, but with any colder temps they may be helpful. All the water falling on us on top turned the trail on the way down into a mud bowl for significant stretches. No views, but didn't expect any. |
