Parking/Access Road Notes: Found a space without much issue at Pinkham early in the afternoon.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We considered crossing at the Wildcat Ridge Trail, but fording would have been required, and it didn't look safe to do so with the current. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail maintainer recently cut out a blowdown and installed a new sign at the Wildcat Ridge junction. A number of failed bog bridges.

Comments: We had considered doing a loop with the Direttissima, but the water crossing was not safe, so it turned into an out-and-back. Mucky in places, but not terrible.

Cloudy early afternoon with temperatures in the 50s. Felt more like early May than late May.
