Parking/Access Road Notes: Sawyer River Road is still closed-wash out. Park at US302 (free). Add 2 mile road walk each way.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The one crossing on Signal Ridge trail was running high. Crossed with dry feet, using logs and rocks, although one step from a high rock to a lower one could be tricky. The usually dry stream beds on Carrigain Notch Trail were flowing, but easily crossed.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One duck under blowdown on Signal Ridge near the start. Several step overs on Carrigain Notch, before Nancy Pond Tr.

Dog-Related Notes: great hike for Fido 
Bugs
Bugs: Only one mosquito and one black fly noted on this cold and damp day.  
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One mylar balloon. Removed.  
 
Comments
Comments: First work day of the season on my adopted trail. Trails were wet from all the recent rain. All the blow downs have been cleared from Nancy Pond Tr. to Stillwater Jct.
