This is by mileage from the start, and I slowed down as too many to count once after the whack. Lincoln woods: small 2.52; black pond: big 2.94, big 2.99, big 3.04, double small 3.23, medium 3.30, after whack: big 5.15, small 6.79 right before slide, 3 small on path 7.48. Then a total mess on top with lots of blow downs. |

Alright what a choice after these last two days! Only 1 foot in snow at the summit was a dream after this mess of an end of May snow issue. Trail was better than I expected, seemed like the usual wet mess it is in the non drainage parts. Water was flowing higher for sure from The rain and snow melt. Water crossings were higher for a comfortable rock hop but a fine ford for sure. Only saw 7 others doing owls and a lot others on lincoln woods. I was surprised with how good brutus was with the recent rain. I then ran lincoln woods to get out quicker. No rain and still wet feet but that is a win!! |
