None when I started at 9am, but by early afternoon the lower elevations were buggy around water on the trail. Didn’t get bit but they sure were annoying |

An incredible day for an incredible hike! I had planned for winter conditions with the snow this weekend, but there is just trace snow off the trail and a tiny amount of slush here or there on the trail. The trail is MUDDY, but the views and the sunshine more than made up for it. I saw at least 30 other people. Bugs were really starting to come out in the early afternoon- next time my spikes are staying home and my bug net is coming with. |
