The hike up to West Tecumseh is in great shape. A lot of blowdowns between West Tec and the summit, nothing that presented much of a problem although some have herd paths around starting to form. See note in comments about summit signage. |

The black flies have arrived on Tecumseh. Seems like 2mph is the cutoff to where they are a problem. |

Enjoyable up/down with the pooch. Met a couple coming down from the summit, and met them 1/4 mile from the summit again on my descent as they had taken the wrong trail (they wanted to end up at Waterville) and were heading back up. When I got back to my car a different couple was standing on Tripoli Rd looking for their car and the chairlifts (I drove them back to Waterville). Perhaps a sign 50' from the summit that says "Trail does not go to the ski area". I think the summit signage is confusing...this is not my first time driving someone back to the ski area. |
