Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lot was full when I arrived (Memorial Day weekend) but I was able to grab a spot as someone was leaving. No other issues.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Slush
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock hopping (Kate Sleeper) and log crossing (Dicey's Mill). No issues.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Tons of blowdowns on the Kate Sleeper Trail. Looks like the trail hasn't been maintained in some time. A bit hard to follow due to the blowdowns. Thankfully, there were some footprints in the snow which made it easier. Blueberry Ledge Trail and Dicey's Mill Trails were in great shape.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Lots of bugs (black flies?) at lower elevations, but few near the top. Saw a lady on the way down who I think had gotten a bug stuck in her eye. I would recommend using a bug net this time of year. Did not notice any ticks.

Comments
Comments: Parked at Ferncroft. Took Blueberry Ledge Trail up toward Whiteface, then Kate Sleeper Trail to Downe's Brook. Stealth camped a little past the brook. The next day, continued up to East Sleeper. I'd had enough at that point and didn't want to venture across more blowdowns to get to West Sleeper. So I headed back, turning left at the fork on Rollins Trail, following that to Dicey's Mill Trail to complete the loop down to Ferncroft.
