 | Water Crossing Notes: |
I was concerned about crossings after the recent snow and rain just a few days before, so I was happy to note two Alltrails reports from one and two days before we went, indicating little snow left and no problems with crossings. We found them to be fairly easy rock hops. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails are in fairly good shape. The erosion and loose rock in parts going up North and down South continue to get worse with traffic. There were a few blowdowns, but were either duck unders or step overs. Going up the steeps to North, there was a small tree blown down with its bush right over the trail at head height, so I took it out with the foldup saw. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw one, with its trailrunning owner. |
|
 | Bugs: |
None really noticed on the trail, but on return to the cars the blackflies were upon us. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
I lost one gaiter, just like last week on Garfield, and again someone (in our group!), coming out behind me, found it and put it by the kiosk, not realizing it was mine at first. I have to do something about these gaiters coming off! |

Nice OTHH outing, with great weather and views. The only snow we saw was first a few patches in the shadows going up to North, then more patches going over to South, with even some well-packed snow on one of the bog bridges. |
