The Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail is in good shape. Snow started around 4900 feet. When I had enough of my trial runners postholing I changed to my boots. After Mt. Monroe I went on to Mount Washington. Enough snow on the ground and the postholing made me put on the snowshoes. I appreciated them the most coming down the summit and alongside the cog. Other hikers I saw were bare booting. A few skiers. Great day to be out. Sunny and mellow. |
