 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The tricky one was actually across a broken boardwalk section through a super wet, boggy short stretch in between Wildcat A and B - cautious and nimble footwork with the random branches and broken boardwalk pieces can keep your feet dry - good luck! |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Wow - lots of evergreen carnage throughout, notwithstanding signs of trailwork. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Just mine, and I let her off leash in one of the ponds in Carter Notch. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Just at the trailhead and Wildcat D, but they are out there. Bummer. |

 | Comments: |
Snow is only in two spots: 1) in the final runup to Carter Dome (coming from the north), and there are only about 4 spots, no more than 6 feet long, of snow that is encroaching on, but not covering, the trail; and 2) early in the descent out of Carter Notch on 19MBT, and that spot is about 15 feet long, but you can easily just walk right over it. So, no need whatsoever for any snow-related gear on these trails - yay! :) The Imp Trail had a lot of water, and - as usual, 19MBT had a fair amount of water. Overall, the trails are well-suited for happy motoring. |
