This would be a good one for pups. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Bugs? Yes, there sure were. They weren’t vicious, but they were annoying. Had to put on some bug spray, which did the trick. |

Tried to limit the out-and-backs to complete this network of trails: Horseshoe Pond —> Conant —> Mine Loop to Lord Hill, then back to Mine Loop Connector —> Connector to Conant, then back to Mine Loop —> Conant to Conant TH, then back —> Pine Hill —> Lord Hill —> Horseshoe Pond for 10.6 miles. Pleasant in the woods. Not much for views…a good look at a soggy but not wet bog on Conant then a nice look at Horseshoe Pond, also from Conant trail. Didn’t see another person all day. |
