Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A few easy step overs and one easy rock hop.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in great shape! Edmands & Crawford have a little mud and a few puddles but nothing serious. I cleared a ~6” and a ~10” blowdown off of Edmands Path so it’s pretty clear now.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw one well behaved pup coming down Edmands who seemed to be having a good time.
Bugs
Bugs: BRUTAL above 4000’. Swarming like crazy but not really biting much at first. Mostly black flies & deer flies. I think I must’ve sweat off my bug spray though because they really got me on the way down.

Comments
Comments: Pretty good day overall, except for the bug swarms above about 4000’. The forecast said it was supposed to be a little breezy, but that didn’t pan out - ugh…

The haze from the Canada wildfires kinda limited the views above tree line that I was hoping for, but it was still a great day & hike anyway. Better than being at work!!!
