 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Little River wasn't bad, Found a place to rock hop across just a few feet upstream from the trail crossing. I don't think the soles of my boots got wet. The rest of the crossings were minor. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Lots of muddy spots, then long stretches that were dry. All the blowdown had been cut to at least walk by |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Good dogs, all |

 | Bugs: |
An annoying presence. Some worse spots like to top of South Twin and Galehead hut. But of course these were places we stopped. Much better at Galehead when we returned from Galehead. |

 | Comments: |
Pretty good day for a Twins traverse. Pleasant in the morning, as stated earlier Little River was an uneventful rock hop. North Twin tr. up North had muddy sections but there were usually rocks to hop here. Very hazy with wildfire smoke. South Twin which has one of the best White Mountain views was very limited with neighboring ridges all shrouded. Couldn't make out the Presidents at all.
There were rest rooms available at Galehead hut and the outside spigot was on.
The long walk out Gale River was like the rest of the trails, lots of mud, some dry sections. By the afternoon the heat had risen to close to 80. |
