Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: No major crossings (The one on the connector has a bridge)- good thing with the rain last two days.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: With the recent rain there is lots of standing and running water as you would expect. Water bars seemed to be working however there were lots of puddles and flow between bars.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: All dogs were great today
Bugs
Bugs: Few going up, they started to wake up when there was no breeze on the ridge. On the way down they were revved up. I fed quite a few for today.

Comments
Comments: Considering the amount of rain the past two days, the trail was in pretty good shape. Few bugs on the way up along with a few sunny moments between dark clouds. As I made the ridge the sun was a little more persistent, except for the time I spent on the Eisenhower summit. It looked foreboding, however the breeze was steady which did feel good. No raindrops though, it was already on the ground either flowing down the path or in wide "ponds" that took rock hopping.
The return walk back to Pierce was much brighter. Very satisfactory.
Lots of folks out today enjoying a pleasant trek on one of the nicest hikes in the Whites.
