 | Comments: |
This was an out and back from New Canada Rd to Old Top. Though the peaks are just over 2000 ft, this is not an easy hike. A lot of up and down once on the ridge. Total assent was 2615 ft. The first 0.6 miles were the worst, high grass and lots of water. It might have been drier if it had not rained the 2 prior days. SRK blazes all the way to the East Peak. Trail to East Peak and Old Top is unsigned and takes care to follow in spots. The ledges were slippery. No real views today due to wildfire smoke. We only saw 2 hikers. |
