Used the log, with poles for balance, on the ascent. Walked through on the way down. Water was low enough in spots to not fully submerge my boots. |

Dog friendly approach to avoided the ledges, but a longer one (15mi). |

Lots at the start, minimal on the way up. At the Whiteface lookout they were absolutely brutal. |
