Comments
Comments: mostly a beautiful day out on Franconia Ridge. Did the loop counterclockwise. Falling Waters crossing were all easy to get across. some mud here and there on the way. once you got up on the ridge you can see all the smoke in the area, even seeing the tower on Cannon was surprisingly hazy. Other than the smoke there was very little wind on the ridge. Mostly uneventful on the up there but the smoke made for some interesting photos. The crossing of the south end of Eagle Lake was pretty wet but the start of new boardwalks was an appreciated addition. Some mud here and there before and after the hut. Rocks were a bit slippery on the descent of Old Bridle. Trail maintenance at the lower end of Old Bridle is much appreciated. No snow nor ice anywhere in sight on any of these trails.
