Good trail to start the season. About 8 miles, 2500 vertical r/t. Warm and humid weather. Plenty of rain lately so every small runoff was flowing, but trail had pretty good drainage so mud was not much of an issue (only spot I can think of was a small area between leaving the wilderness area and the jct. with Mt. Parker Trail).
First two miles are pretty easy, the Mt. Parker Trail is a pretty steady climb but smooth compared to most other trails. Views were there but hazy because of smokey conditions. |
