 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
The lot on Tripoli Rd was maybe a third full at 8am and at 3pm, with some vehicles gone, others having arrived. A few were parked on the road at 3pm. |

 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant |

 | Recommended Equipment: |

|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The only "crossings" on this route are over drainage brooks, with some water flowing between the large rocks, and these were of no consequence. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There were a few remnants from some blowdown cleanup that was evident. There remains a fairly easy duck-under on the way up to the east peak. |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
There were several over the day. A couple that had come from the Kanc and over the east peak had a young, energetic dog with them. At the chimney between peaks, the dog made an attempt at going up the bypass, but was struggling. The couple decided not to push things and abandoned the attempt. Another very capable dog had come down the chimney (or bypass?), per the owner. That would have been a feat worth watching, nervously. |
|
 | Bugs: |
There were a few at the parking lot at 8am, then a lot more, mainly black flies, at 3pm. Along the trail we really didn't notice the bugs. We had used DEET, and that, plus staying in motion, seemed to work while on the trail. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
I noticed the pair of sort of rust-red framed glasses someone had perched atop the cairn on the east peak. |

 | Comments: |
Nice outing with the OTHH, with cool, dry air to start, plus some actually blue sky overhead, which was nice after the smoke haze we've been seeing lately. |
