Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Three blowdowns on Webster Branch that have established herd paths. The lowest one is a ~10” diameter conifer that is laying on 50+ feet of the trail. It could be limbed quite easily though it appears. Rest of the trails in great shape-clearly someone did a LOT of work clearing all the blowdowns between the peaks-thank you!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw several happy puppers today. Lots of water on trails right now. Trails are steep and very technical so make sure your dog can handle tough scrambles. Fin did awesome for an old, ghost-faced mutt. She’s still got it at nearly 12 years old:)
Bugs
Bugs: Only a few black flies showing up on the descent off Jackson but no one got bitten and they were barely noticeable. No spray or net needed. It was pretty chilly and windy in the morning.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Packed out a nice hat that was hanging on a tree. If it’s yours and you’d like it back email me a description and I will get it back to you!

Comments
Comments: Today was a great day to start late (10am), as all the peaks driving up were socked in and the wind was howling. By the time we made it up Webster it was a gorgeous day and the cooler temps and wind kept the bugs and sweat away! Higher summits forecast nailed it this morning. Decent number of folks out enjoying the day. Views were much better than last few weeks-way less haze. Saw a huge bear chilling on Wells Road in the morning:) 42/52 for the boy!
