 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lot for the Sugarloaves has several spaces. Parking is allowed on only one side of the road for those who don't get in the lot. We walked from the campground, our car was at our campsite. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Not actual crossings, but there are a couple bog bridges that sink. So you may end up getting wet feet. |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Sign is good. However, there is other work needed. While the forest service road is smooth and clear, the actual path to the pond has some brushy sections that almost hide it. And as mentioned before, the bog bridges could use some attention. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Should be good. But check for ticks! |
 | Bugs: |
A lovely June evening will get you plenty of company - blackflies, mosquitos, and TICKS. |

 | Comments: |
Lovely little walk near the Sugar Loaf 2 Campground. Could be an appetizer or dessert for the Sugarloaves. 5 minute (not even) walk from the campground. Good views of the surrounding mountains. Nice soundtrack, too. Birds, peepers, other frogs.
As mentioned under maintenance, it does need some work. |
