Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking at 19 mile easily fits 10-15 cars.  
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: 2 water crossings on Carter Dome, even with water running high, they were easy to cross  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: 19 mile- very gradual mostly dry, Carter Dome, 1st mile, until you start the switchbacks is wet and muggy with running water in it at times. Lots of herd paths and deep sections with loose rocks. Once your on the switchbacks, it dries out right away. Minimal blowdowns on carter moriah trail from South -> Middle Carter, only went over/under 2 trees. Plenty of board walks for the bog.

Dog-Related Notes: A dog used to long hikes will be fine.  
Bugs
Bugs: Mostly on the carter dome trail along the river.  
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: A metal dog bowl noted @ the trail head. A hat and the bottom part of hiking pants were left on the trail and put on branches.  
 
Comments
Comments: 11.8 miles, remanent of Garfield or Cabot as a long but gradual trail. Only 1 "steeper" section. The traverse from South -> Middle has a lot of up and down (PUDS)
