Comments: The first mile and a half was packed (day before) after that point there was a 1 inch frozen crust to break through most of the way to the top. The cut-off to the middle sister trail did not look to have been used in quite some time. On the way down it was well packed as there were a number of others coming up (some bare booting, some on snow shoes and one on skis).
