Comments
Comments: A old trail conditions report said the trail is to the left of the gate and posted sign. This allows you to avoid a very wet spot behind the gate. The trail starts with nice boardwalks in the woods. From there the trail in the woods becomes an old road with many side roads left and right. The grass is knee high. I did not see any human tracks or trail signs or rocks pilled to mark which way the trail lead.. I was surprised no ticks were attached to me. This road is prime tick habitat.
When the tall grass ends this is your clew to look right at the edge of the woods, you will notice rocks pilled high. It easy to miss. A well maintained hiking trail now takes you. up Mt Jasper. With Yellow blazing. Jasper trail going down to the track field is very will maintained. Big blue blazing. Nice stepping stones.
