Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Car spotted at Gale River trailhead and it had several cars at 6:45 am but still lots of room. North Twin Trail trailhead had 4 or 5 cars, including ours, at 7am. Room for several more, though it would be really helpful if people all parked oriented in the same manner. Park straight-in lining the "sides" of the lot, not straight in while straight in front (in parallel) with the trail.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Little River was hoppable and looked surprisingly low to me, given the weather. I have short legs and would have opted for pole assistance, but FS volunteer Zippy lent me both his pole and hand, so I did not need to break my poles out. Quick and easy.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Zippy was actively working on the North Twin Trail- thank you! I don't remember climbing over any blowdowns all day.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Our 38lb doodle, Buttercup, did very well. We didn't see any others all day.
Bugs
Bugs: Barely any at all! I was surprised. Summits were breezy but down below was remarkably okay. More descending Gale River than going up North Twin in the am.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: N/A

Comments
Comments: Aside from the lack of distant views, it was a perfect hiking day! Rocks were definitely slippery which made for slower descents.
